Abstract

It is important to highlight as a house of studies the relevance of scientific research in the training of university students, thus contributing to the impact of science both nationally and internationally. Research highlights that in the case of Paraguay, within the Latin American countries, is one of those that is less developed in terms of differentiation and specialization of institutions practice, representation and scientific research; They also point out that the initiatives recent developments by some Paraguayan public institutions to seek a more effective link between research and policy-making must be maintained
and suggest that they should be deepened to achieve some degree of institutionalization of this link.
